Shannon Robson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Behavioral Health and Nutrition at the University of Delaware where she is the Director of the Nutrition Science PhD Program. Dr. Robson directs the Energy Balance and Nutrition Laboratory where her research is focused on individual and familial eating behaviors in young children that impact energy intake, diet quality, and weight outcomes.

She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Division of Behavioral Medicine and Clinical Psychology at Cincinnati Childrens Hospital Medical Center after earning a PhD in Nutrition Science and Master’s of Public Health from the University of Tennessee, where she also completed her dietetic internship. She has a Bachelor of Science in dietetics and Nutrition Science from the University of Delaware.

Within the Academy, Dr. Robson currently serves as Chair for the Council on Future Practice. Previously, she has served on the Population Level Nutrition Taskforce of the Nutrition Care Process Research Outcomes Committee, as Chair for the Committee on Public Health Nutrition, and as the House of Delegates Representative for the Public Health Community Nutrition Practice Group.
