Description

Creating a more diverse profession begins with attracting and recruiting students of all backgrounds. To do so, it is imperative for dietetics programs to find unique and creative ways to open the educational pipeline and expose students of all identities to opportunities in the profession.

Participants in this session will learn three unique approaches to engage with prospective students: through developing community partnerships with youth programs, holistic admissions practices, and affiliation agreements with local community colleges. Panelists will discuss tips and tricks to get started and how to adapt as the student population continues to change.
